anyone got any opinions on "the terminator"? i read on the SVT forums that they run stock 12.9 but alot of other forums people seem to think that they are 15 second slow cars. (especially the SRT forums) I wanna know incase i encounter one
ps i think they will beat me but ive been brainwashed, so to speak, by other forums

 

The Cobras are very fast, I personally know about 6 Cobra owners with 500hp modified engines. The most common upgrades on the Cobra engine are:

Supercharger Pulley
K&N air filter
x pipes
cat-back
Chip/ECU
some people add the bigger throtle body



Anyway, I raced many 500hp Cobras at SIR(Tucson), they average 12.7-13.5 at 104-110MPH. It is a very impressive car, it has tons of torque but they weight a whole lot and they loose a lot of traction.

I have another friend whom decided to built his 03 GT and spent well over $15000 on the engine. His car produces 470whp on a Dynojet and he is not pushing it hard, unfortunately he has soo many traction problems that you hardly see him on the 12's. Last week he ran a 12.6@116 with drag radials and mixed race gas.

Definately a fast car and a serious competitor to the EVO.

 

your first mistake was taking srtforums seriously... the 03-04 cobras are fast as hell.

 

Fast as hell is correct. Pulley, exhaust, and a tune sits most at ~450whp. 1/4 times are usually mid/low 12's @116mph+
