does your boyfriend or father have an evo? Just wondering why you are so interest in the evo when you have the ss. I would be cruizen the forums of the car i own.

He just hangs on the evo forums because hes jealous and ignorant. Then he gets mad because he doesn't get his own way and has to try to make fun of something. I'm pretty sure he drives a car that looks like a taco. (subaru baha? as in baha gordita?)

except for on other boards where we get laughed at for our transfer cases, clutches, and the ****ty stock tires..... they're about as reputable as the warranty is to mitsubishi. now the engine and raw performance... well worth it, but we don't count as quality, i'd say just performance.

Tires are tires, swap 'em out. As for the clutch/transmission thing, isn't that more of an Evo issue?
ANYhow... I know I read an article or two where Lancer was a top 5 most reliable compact car someplace... The quality and warranty were big decisions when I bought my Ralliart, I hope that confidence wasn't misplaced.

Well, let's put it that way:
When was the last time you hopped into another car of the same price and felt that the quality was much better? Only the Mazda 3 gave me that impression... but it wasn't that exiting to drive compared to the RA.
I think that the overall quality of the RA is can easily be seen through comparison with the competing models. Always remember that it's the bang for the bucks that separates the RA for other cars.

BTW, on the subject of the Cobalt SS: One thing I really like about it is the fact that GM gave it's customers the choice of interior trim color to match the car. For instance, red inserts can be chosen for a red or a black car.
If there was ever an advantage to buy a domestic car, it's probably there. Asian car makers would not be able to offer such options... unless it's on cars that are built in their local plants. Otherwise, it would be a nightmare to try and produce in advance cars that met the demand for this or that color of trim.
I feel it's a small price to pay to get a better car than what the domestic brands are selling... but I still would like to have the choice. Then again, it won't make me buy a domestic brand to not have this choice with the Japanese cars... and Mitsubishi and the others know that very well.
