Who do you think would win. If me and my friend went at it. Im just curious wut u people think. By how much. from a roll on the freeway 3 honks 4th to 3rd then up. Im not going to street race him, im just curious.

are u serious? ud own that wrx, a front mount doesnt help to much on those cars since the piping in total is liek 8ft long or something like that, besides that bov isnt goinng to help him either so u will win

ARite moderators can delete this thread.. well i ran him i know the rules of the forums, so i ddint want to say i street raced him... i know thats stupid on my part and i hsouldnt be doing that.. but he kept wanting to so i gave him a run.. i really didnt want to. . On the freeway i pull away from him after like 5000 rpm on thrid and i keep pulling away from 4th - 5th but i only end up beating him by like 2 or 3 cars... its not by much. we ran like 5 times and only 1 time i beat him by like 10 cars.. but the other times its barely beating him.. he can hang otherwise....So i want to know if its my driving. Well his car is 227 and mine is 271.. with all those mods on his car he should be around me stock. But i guess the tbe on my car gives me that 2-3 car lenghts edge.. But the wrx can hang with me pretty good.. so i dont know if its my driving or is it my ride..

 

It also depends on what speed you are rolling from and what gear. For example is you are rolling from 60-65, I would keep it in third then go from there. I wouldn't start in 4th then downshift and go back up. I would use this guideline when going from a roll:
1-35mph: 1st gear
36-55mph:2nd gear
56-75mph:3rd gear
76-100mph:4th gear

Those are just estimates. I wouldn't roll from a gear if I am already at max speed for that gear, because you would have to upshift quickly.

 

First off, it looks like a you have an untuned intake, a big NO, NO in my opinion. The intake is probably taking away power than adding it. Plus a three car win isn't that small, to me 3 cars is close to 4-5mph difference in trap speed. So let's say, you run your EVO at the track with your untuned intake, your probably running 13.2@102MPH (you could trap higher if you get your intake tuned) to his 13.8@97MPH, difference of about 3 cars from a roll, and if you drive perfectly you could put 4 or 5 cars on him, so in reality the difference really should be like 4 or 5 cars, but there are so many factors, and the stock or near stock EVOs gearing comes into play (non MRs) and so I would expect a 3 or 3 1/2 car victory, 4 cars if driven really good, and 5 to 7 cars if the WRX is driven by a noob.
