It will be awesome to see what they can pull out of that thing with some mild mods. It looks like LG will be doing headers and a small cam (no tuning available for it yet) so I cant wait to see that dyno.

There are plenty tuners out there who's been working on 427's for years. Most are speculating up to 600 rwhp with cams/header/tune. And it's all NA. Insane.

Looks like heatsoak killed the initial numbers but it did 483/460 with headers and no tuning. This thing will be dangerously close to 500whp with headers, a CAI, and TUNING. Displacement is goooood.

test drove a c6 over the weekend.....kind of disappointed with its steering input. it is no where as responsive as the evo. according to the corvette repsentative, z06's steering is the same as the regular c6. i was think of z06 as my next car....now i have to think twice. i would like to hear fellow evo owner's opinion who is able to drive z06 a bit.

I am in love with the new Z06, incredible machine. Much like Mitsu, if GM could figure out how to get some magic of its halo car into the other brands it would do a lot for them.

LG replaced the fluids with synthetic Redline all around, and removed the air cleaner and got 492hp I think. With a tune, it should be well over 500whp.

Hey evojim, I currently drive a 2005 C6 Z51. I haven't driven a C6 Z06 yet. But I've been reading up on it and actually sat it one at a dealership. From what I can tell, the steering in the Z06 should be similar to the C6. The Z06 and all 2006 models have the smaller diameter three spoke steering wheel, which feels much better than the 2005 four spoke ones. The C6 overall steering and handling is not as responsive or nimble like the Evo. But be mindful of the RWD, 400hp, and fat tires. 400tq is what can really throw off the handling, if you're not careful in the corners. And that's just for the regular C6. Imagine 505hp and 500tq. Turn in is really nice, perhaps better than the Evo, but the exit is somewhat loose and lacks grip like the AWD Evo.

Personally, I like the overall handling of the Evo. But for sheer speed and power, the Vette is amazing. 7:59 for C6 Z51 and 7:43 for C6 Z06 at the Nurburgring should pretty much sum it up.
