Which Car Would You Get?

I'm not really going to do this, just posed the question to myself and wondered what you would do if you had to make the choice.

If you had $45,000 and wanted to buy a weekend fun car, would you get:

1) Used 2004 Lotus Elise, pure sports car, 2 door, new technology, eye catching, etc.

or

2) Restored 1977 Ferrari 308 GTS - My birthyear, so that's cool, beautifully clean inside and out, has racing seats and wheels/tires, along with all the stock stuff. 300hp, classic sports car, but I can't imagine the maintenance costs.

I think the Elise might be more fun and cheaper in the long run. Don't get me wrong having a Ferrari would be sick but I think you would end up looking at it more than using it.

Ferrari, the old ones are super pimp. I would have one if i could afford to drive it everyday. If i own a car, i have to drive it, no show cars for me.

Also, consider the Lotus Exige (sp?).

Hardtop, more track oriented.

308 gts is the best looking ferraris of all time. I'd take that car over the Enzo in a heartbeat, and it would only take two or three heartbeats to take it over the F50.

You lotus lovers aren't voting without knowing what the car looks like are you?
