http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SCCA-...87497644QQrdZ1

for what it's currently listed at, $6500, it's a good deal. set up for race minus engine and transaxle. wish i had some extra money for it

Definately a pretty good deal. Not in the position to pick up a track car right now cause I want another street car to build, but good post nonetheless

Looks like a gorgeous, well-built car. Too bad it's got no engine or tranny. How was its record in SCCA?

as far as i know, the proteges were usually quite competitive in SCCA. not real sure on the record, but i'm guessing pretty decent. their major problem was their engine i think, they would go through 3 per season because it was a high strung N/A motor that wasn't built for being a high strung N/A motor like a honda. so if someone wanted a fun track car and wasn't too concerned about class they could take this car and put a turbo motor in it and it would be a hell of a fun car
