my 240

wanted to see if there was anyone here with some good s13 knowledge... i posted this up on 240sxforums but no one ever replied...ever since last night brake lights stay on continuously even when the car is off any suggestions on this problem?

Ive seen this problem before on other cars...my friend had a acura legend that did it and it was because of him alarm system.. hope this helps

hmm im not sure, the car does have an alarm but when i got it i disconnected it and its been disconnected ever since

they stay on only when the car is off? or do they stay on when the car is on also, if thats the case then i would look into the brakelight switch by the brake pedal, thats what it was in my old bmw.

^^^ used to have a 240 and had the same problem, and yeah it was the switch behind the brake pedal. I remember watchin the heavy set mechanic workin on it... not pretty ... you can pick one up at napa or autozone etc.
