look what I just got hehe

got tired of the Honda beating the **** out of me every day in traffic, so I thought this would be a better daily driver. I know, I know, I never thought I would buy an automatic either, but this ***** is pretty damn fun as is. It has two different manual modes and this engine is awesome. no more turbo or v-tec lag and torque for days.

Nice! My friend is still waiting for his. He said that the dealers called him and told him they finally got one but the interior was not the color he wanted. Then 30 minutes later, it was already sold!

great car. did you drive the 250? i am not in a position to buy one, but wonder which is the one to have. 350 is only RWD but auto, and 250 is a 6sp and AWD available right?

Apparently they're launching an Is430 as well. That'd be awesome. It's not like the engine won't fit as they built one from the previous generation Is.

sweet.....I'm really looking at the IS250 myself......NOTHING on this earth could make me buy an automatic......so I'm stuck looking at the lower HP model.

that's what I have always thought, but driving the S2k in stop and go traffic for 50 miles everyday for that last 6 months has really taken it's toll on me. I'm really not a fan of the paddle shifters either so this is basically going to be your garden variety automatic for me. It still is very quick and I really like all the amenities.

The 250 is a dog and you can't get the awd and the manual together either so the extra 100+ hp was enough to justify the auto. Plus, I still have a stupid fast Evo to drive whenever I need a manual transmission fix so I think that I will be happier in the end.

thanks for all the comments guys. I was trying to decide between the s4, s60r, new 3 series and a g35 coupe. I didn't want something that was already old so most of those were eliminated right there. I think the new 3 is too girlie (not saying that the Lexus is that manly, but hopefully you know what I mean) so I got the Lex. I hate saying that I drive a Lexus though 'cause it sounds so pretentious but it is really a great buy. They are talking about a price increase in a couple of months so I think I did the right thing.

I got the only black with nav in the state (so they told me) and I got $500 off of sticker so I feel pretty good about the deal.

They're so nice man. Hope they don't become overly common though (even though I'm sure they inevitably will) because then they just don't look that impressive. But I'd still take one over a 330i.

btw is the Is350 AWD? we only get thr Is250 here. 350 should come out in manual that'd be awesome.
