My 2004 Acura TL
My 2004 Acura TL
Hey guys I am new around here, I havent decided yet about weather to get an Evo IX or wait for the X. If I do purchase a IX it will be in about a month and right now I'm having some fun with my Acura TL.
2004 Acura TL pretty heavily modified, no forced induction work or anything like that. But I thought I'd post some pictures and see what you guys over here thought, I'm thinking of selling her if I decide to grab an IX.

Nice TL, actually very nice in white. Remember the IX is in a totally different class than the TL, so make sure you are willing to do without a lot of the creature comforts you have on the TL. Still as far as performance, it's not even close, the IX is head and sholders above the TL in that department. The IX may just possibly be the best EVO platform ever. Still in the end it all depends on what you are really looking for in a car.

Heavily Modified? As in bling right? Because the only thing I see "performance" wise is your Catbackexhaust, your T1-R's (great tire) and perhaps your tein suspension ...
I agree thats an nice looking car ... Must be a great daily driver ..

Well for a TL that is heavily modified, remember guys it is a FWD sedan, and a very heavy one at that. Most of the stuff is for looks, not speed. It will beat a stock A4 or 330 off the line, but this car is for cruising. The navigation, bluetooth, dvd audio and other features just cant be beat for the money.
I like to drive, regret not getting a 6 speed, and dont need the luxury, so off to an EVO I go. I think I'm going to wait till official pictures are released of the X to decide between it and the IX.

Yea thats nice man. I use to have one i was the 3rd in the us to get the 04 and got a letter from acura they where offering me for $2500 i would get the a-spec package with the upgraded brakes with free pads and rotor replacement for free for the life of the car and the same with tires and xm radio. I was going to do it bu then i said let me think about it but i had to many problems with the car no motor problems it was small stuff like paint defects, the dealer didnt know how to change the oil on the car they broke all the plastic pieces that cover the motor, then the roof came down because they only use some cheap tape strip to hold it up i got all new parts and they fixed what was worng. Man i got so many things for free thay messed up so many times with my car i got free tints all 4 new tires and brake pads and rotors. But the one thing that made me get ride of it and buy the evo was when i did the recall for the trany they added a oil pump to put more oil in the trany i lost so much performance i said screw it and traded it in after a year and about 47k miles on it. Im way more happy with the evo. Would i get another TL hell yea but im going to wait till they fix all the bug's im thinking on getting one as soon as i pay off the evo.
