changing brake pads

Was doing some brake pad changing earlier on my dad nissan quest. I tested out the car and the brakes are not as responsive as the new pads should be. Appearantly I bleeded out the brakes. I filled up the brake resivour as needed to the max. I also pumped the brake a million time, but there just not much grips on it. The brake fill much worse than the older brake pads. Did I do something wrong.

You need to brake in the pads. Find an empty lot or something similar and make many 20-0, 30-0, 60-0, etc stops this should help your pads.
