Well, the bar has been raised again!!! This is old news to some since is has been a couple of days, but let's put this in perspective to our great EVO.

This supra is full weight over 3500lbs!! It is running a ET street tire not a full slick. It is pushing 41psi at redline just like Chris's or AMS's shop car. It's putting out how much power?? Over 1400rwhp on boost!! Just another little plug for displacement he is now using a 3.4 liter stroker motor.

My whole point is almost any inline designed engine can put out over 400rwhp/liter, but enough of that here is the video. 8.86@168mph!!

that's actually slow for a Supra. the fastes supra on STREET tires is the blue one on the BF Goodrich poster. Paul Efantis ran 7.92 @ 192...

supras are running in the 6's now & when their car ran in AZ, it misfired & popped all the way down the track. there's a guy in FL who is running 8.5's w/a full interior & his wife gets groceries in it!!!!!!!!!

 

At 1400whp and 3500 lbs, 168 is a very low mph. I know a few 3500 lb cars running 165-172 mph and they are at 1000-1100 whp. I use to run MT ET Street's and there is nothing closer to a slick. In fact some people actually run faster using this tire because of the slightly stiffer side walls.

Regardless, nice seeing the stroker put down some decent numbers.

First of all who? If you mean Marco's old car that is the ONLY one in the WORLD that is running those times in a quasi street car. That is the cars best time it was consistantly a 8.6-8.7 car though. It also has a 3 speed auto!

WOTM's car is the far more a street car than anything you just mentioned. Efantis's car is a TRACK car 100% track car. That's like saying AMS is slow because shep is running 7's!! Two totally different cars.

 

Who? Don't say "This guy Tommy I know with a blah blah blah" give me a link. That trap right on it's over 3600lbs with driver!! You are right ET Streets are very close to a slick, but DOT says it can still be used on the street.

 

NO, Jonah's car in FL. he's even got a system in it. the car efantis drove was not the one doing the burnout in the poster, BUT the one below it!! the time is even printed on the poster hanging up in my garage.
