tried some 0-60 times

Just tried some 0-60 times on the evo on a closed course, measuring with my gtech perf meter pro (the old one).

Baseline 0-60 in wifes auto wrx (no skill involved) was 6.8 secs, right on the magazine time.

wet level road, snow tires.

Run 1 Launched at 5k, got lots of wheel hop and stopped
Run 2 Launched at 5K, feathered a bit, revs went up to 7k (ouch on the clutch), had to let off a bit-7.1 secs

Run 3 Lauched at 4.5 K, no feathering 4.86 secs
Run 4 Lanuched at 4.3 K, no feathering 5.01 secs

Not sure how much faith I put in the times, but the fact that the auto wrx was on the money is pretty good. Road not long enough for a 1/4 mile time.

Just thought I'd share. Also it seemed like I made it to just over 60 in sec with a 7.8K rev limit, does that seem right?

Flame proof clothing donned.

Yeah I know, but it makes more sense not to shift at 55 mph if you can go to 60 in the same gear and then let off, LOL.

I knew you'd say that, hehe.

I wouldn't expect you to be at 7800rpm at only 60mph. Is that right?

60mph should be right at 7300rpm. 7800rpm would be 64mph. This is assuming the VIII 5spd...

stock IX MR G-Tech (the new one) 4.8 stock...bunch of runs avg. TBE and tuned = best run of 4.1 - all launches at 4.5k or close to. Probably get 4 flat launching harder now she can launch higher in the RPMS.

Accurate? arguable. But like a dyno its a good tool to measure improvements in mods to a certain degree.

yeah, i know it was around 60, over 60, but didnt know how much more. Just wanted to see if I was going barmy or not.

Like I said, the fact that the auto wrx came in at the mag time leads me to believe it close, but would have to use one of the more updated systems to check it. 4.9 aint bad on a wet road if its right. Will do some proper 1/4 times when the track opens in spring
