Ok….so they mated the Dakota front with the Malibu Maxx rear…stuck in a Mitsu engine and called it a new car. I have to say though with all the stuff that Dodge is claming the caliber srt-4 offers…I doubt it will be the $24,000 srt-4 that was the cheep steel that it used to be.

see, thats the thing. instead of fixing the weakness in the cars and making them better, like the EVO, they alter whats good and leave the crap!

its similar to the new eclipse in that its build on an AWD capable chassis, and yet its FWD. the jeep liberty, which comes with the AWD option, shares the same chassis and powerplant as the base model caliber. so basically, its just a small suv! no wonder no one buys american cars! they make the 1 thing people dont want!

I would think SRT-4 owners would be happy that their quickly depreciating cars will now probably go up in value as there is no better successor in sight. Enjoy the impending rarity of your cars as there are still plenty of guys in 15 year old 1G DSMs beating up on everything else out there. You'll be the ones smoking brand new $60,000 sports cars (inflation adjusted) 10 years from now!
