Honda is releasing its first TURBO
I just woke up and first thing I hear on the news is the new SUV mid size I believe from ACURA with a turbo. I thought I heard wrong so I rewind my DVR and yes they said TURBO.
Honda never believed in turbos or even large displacement engines. They always adapted the 4 vtech engines for their great reliability and some mini 6 pistons.
I believe this is the start for Honda to use turbos on their cars and that means HONDA+TURBO= winner.
Can you think about a stock NSX with a turbo. turbod S2000

for years i had an si and i finally got it turboed, then i was looking into the s2000, but honda wasnt doing anything as far as performance. the way to go now in our market is awd + turbo (even if its a small one).
Honda is very precise they don't take chances as other cars manufacture do. They do not release until they are 100% sure it’s reliable and cheap to fix. They took their sweet time before releasing their AWD system and this system is stat of the art. The accord will have one of the best AWD systems on the market today.
By them releasing a turbo SUV is just a test and the beginning.

they actually have released a turbo car before, back in the early 80's, ill try to find some more info. i think it was called the city turbo, something like that. Anyway, great info on the suv.
the Honda Jet ski is actually 165 hp and if honda puts SH-AWD in a civic or tsx with a turbo i think that would b bad news for mitsu and subie cause when it comes down to it honda is still the king of Japan car makers.
a honda turbo would be no good. think about how much reworking and internals they'd have to change. the entire point of a N/A honda engine is high revs and compression. u think they'd change all that around? turbos are fun and all, but high rev N/As are fun as hell too. turbo makes vtec kinda pointless too. i dont think honda will shift to that.
