Supra meet 2006 in Houston.

I could post pics, times, etc from the threads, but it's better just to go read all of it yourself. I'm sure the people that follow this have read it all already anyway. Supras are getting faster is all I have to say. I remember when a 145mph trapping supra running high 9's was pretty much all one could ask for. Welcome to the world of low 9's and 8 second autos is all I have to say. I wouldn't call them street cars just because they are TOO FREAKING FAST FOR WORDS!! Some were 100% race cars too! Go read the threads if you are a member they are under the drag racing section and General Supra forum.

Excerpts:

Congrats to Ian.. The WOTM Auto ran a few 8.50's on boost.

Congrats to Larry and the SP Crew for their 8.6@166

Congrats to Marko for hauling *** and going 174mph

Congrats to Dana for trying to draft Kean Never seen a Supra do that before!

Congrats to Titan for a soft 7.9@181

Today, some of the cars that were down on power re-dynoed:

Tommy Banh - 1,078 rwhp (fixed FPR issues)
Ryan Woon - 1,460 rwhp (fixed fuel issues)
Peter Blach Viper - 1,478 rwhp (fixed ignition and tire issues)
Peter Blach Supra - 427 rwhp (fixed two cracked IC couplers - thanks Dana W! )

Thanks!
Peter

I remember around 4-5 years ago Saad Saad and Guilly were the only ones making 1000rwhp. Now there are over a dozen (now that I have a triple disk carbon clutch I should be joining them) and some hitting close to 1300whp. As technology keeps improving so will the times and dyno numbers. Amazing!

I was planning to go to SAR on sunday and watch the racing but woke up to rain here in Austin. I guess it was dry in San Antonio

Still dreaming! However the clutch came and will be doing to tuning over the next few days. Will post some numbers when we get them. Expecting 600whp on pump gas, 900whp on race fuel, and 1000whp on nitrous. Going to be boosting 40 psi

It's unfortunate that there won't be another great venue for the heads-up racing this year for these Supras, but you can expect good things out of them this year. The Titan Supra ran a best of 8.19 at 182 MPH on drag radials last season with a 76mm turbo. That's what they mean by running a "soft" 7.9 with a bigger turbo and slicks. We look forward to getting the car dialed in and running under better conditions.

Congrats to all the top competitors at Texas. Many of the top dyno numbers (and drag times) were produced with help from the Titan Engine Program.
