i am thinking of trading in my 05 lancer w/17's and rrm sri in for a Eagle Talon...i am going to look and test drive it tomorrow. The talon is all black has some paint problems but it i can get it cheap and the dealership will pay off the at least 10k of the 12.5k that i owe i will be ok and hope that they dont want way too much for it. I already know its not a TSI but been looking for different cars for past few months.
Also if i trade in my Lancer i have the Stock rims/tires/hubs i will sell so PM if interested. They have less then 3k miles and no curb scratches.

 

Why an Eagle Talon with paint issues if it's not a TSI?

Is your lancer auto and the talon manual? And why not an eclipse if you had to go that direction?

 

Seems kinda pointless just to end up with an older car that won't exactly be a speed demon.

 

Yeah, I cant really say that i get your logic. Although, it sounds like you are trying to escape car notes arent you? Really, if thats what it is, dont feel bad, you cannot really expect to live beyond your means, and there is always the future.

 

its more or less the car notes for the lancer and fiancee's mustang+insurance since both under 25 and monthly rent for aptm. So i said i would sacrifice my car so she could have her dream car which i found for her. Its a 2002 Ford Mustang V6 Silver Convertable.

After my college class gets out I am going to look at different cars not just the talon.

KBB says 9.8k trade in, private sell is 11..2k, but local ford dealer ship where my fiancee's father works says 11k w/rims and i owe 12.5k
I have 15000miles, RRM SRI, 17x7 White Rims with Nitto Neogen tires, and full window tint which front windows are getting tint removed soon.

 

and how much for the talon?

 

dont know going to test drive and talk to dealership around 10am when i get out of my college class.

 

i doubt they would do the trade in for what i can get for my car, but if they did it would just tack about 2k on to the price of the talon. Or i go and see if her father can get me one of there tricked focus with all performence/stlying that they do for demo/show room cars.
