There are probably a lot of ppl in this forum that would totally disagree with me and probably want to beat me for saying this, however, I still would rather have my Evo. What a car she is... I can't think of any other car that represents such a powerful bang for the buck. Don't get me wrong.... The Skyline is by far a very nasty piece of equiptment and she looks beautiful, but I wouldn't be able to convince myself to spend what I would for an evo on a skyline. They're not street-legal in the US (to the most extent), and with Mitsu's proven 4G63 engine and a not-too-far-behind AWD system (compared to the skyline of course), you could not convince me to buy one.

In a short bit, sorry, not trying to knowck one of the nastiest cars out there, but I think I would much rather have my evo with even $10,000 mods and me doing the labor. I'd have one hell of a nasty "street car". Just my $.02 though most of you prolly wont agree ith it..

I agree....the Evo has to be the best value for money performance-wise of ANYTHING. I think the Evo is gorgeous as well. Sure the Skyline may be better....but by how much? It wouldnt cost too much to make your evo pwn a Skyline would it? The Evo does EVERYTHING beautifully. I can't say I'm an expert on the skyline tho.....

there's a link to a fully legalized and HIGHLY modified R33 GTR here in a ohio for sale for much less than 105k. He overpaid but it's up to the buyer and how bad he wants it.

R34 cannot be legally registered with a license plate, especially in California. It can only be on a "show and display" status tag. Nobody has done the crash testing of (3) R34's in order for them to be legally driven on the streets. I am speaking about laws in California, not sure about other states.

True. Did anyone bother looking at the pictures on that other site? In every photo it is lacking a license plate. Looks questionable to me. That being said, how much of a rush would it be to open one of those storage containers off a ship and seeing a JDM Skyline or pre VII Evo? I mean I get excited when I get my car parts from UPS, a whole car must be rediculous.....

Quote: yeah.... 105k? you can get a 99 r34 gtr w/ less than 40k for approx 50k, shipped to the us for about 2k, then registered for about 10k..... then pass emissions and safety for about 10-15k more which is about 75k total.....

http://www.batfa.com/usedcar-nissan-skyline-stock.htm
the extra 30k is for being abl to drive it in two weeks not 6-8 months

If he wants to spend the money... it's his money.

There are LEGAL registered R34s prowling the streets of the US.

...and this thread is moved to other cars.

I would gladly pay 105k for a R34 GT-R. Hell, im gonna be paying 60k for the upcoming Nissan GT-R. Dope car, congrats to the owner. Nothing like opening the garage and seeing a prestine R34 GT-R.
