Back in 2004 (aka pre my Evo days) I was looking at a 2004 Roush Stage 2, and that was 18k, 0 miles, with no trade in. A Stage 3 SC would have run me 26k. (Didnt get them because, well everyone has a Mustang, and I think their interiors suck.)
Dealers suck by nature, but thats crazy for a 3 year old GT, and 2 year old v6. They should have been south of 18k for the GT, and 11k for the v6.

almost impossible to get a street titled evo 7 here. Mitsu started selling the evo 8 as its first model in the US

GTO was the LS2, and felt quite heavy and sluggish. Interior was really nice, but didnt have the power I was looking for. (and I have had LT1/4, 350 ci, LS1 cars)
STi was nice, but there was no back seat, and modding it was more than an Evo for less power. (i.e. to get same hp as I have now it would cost me more $)
Stage 2 was ok, interior was crap (cheap black plastic), Hurst hockey stick shifter was uncomfortable to use, and it had no power. Well no more than a reg. GT. Mind you my father has 2004 GT, so I know those well.
05 Evo, blew the crap out off all listed above. And my current 11.9x 1/4 mile, I can say I made the right desision for me.
Sorry to burn this tread - hey if you like the v6 'stang, great, I was just saying you paided a bit more than I would have been looking for.
That isn't possible. My GF got a great deal a year ago on a 2004 Mustang V6 loaded for 12K. It had 20k miles on it. It drives great and has a good amount of power. It 0-60's in about 7 or 8 seconds which isn't bad for a 12K car.
I walk all over V6 mustangs in my daily driver 01 1.8T A4.
but I'm confused why buy the v6 and then order the GT rims and dual exhaust conversion? I'd think just buying a GT would be similar in price to that and then you'd actually have the added power of the V8... ?

I guess it's no different then buying a base lancer or any other car and adding mods.... how hard is that to comprehend ?
