SMART car in the US?

I also think that this car much safer than it first appears. The uni-body is shaped kinda like an egg and is inherently strong...

And just like the Prius, not to mention every other widely anticipated car out there, the people who want them immediately are going to pay a lot more than their worth. Hell, even the PT Cruiser was fetching 10K over sticker when it first came out. IT'S A DAMN PT CRUISER!
This is just not right...lol...

"They call the finished car the Smartuki. It’s the only one in existence and Z Cars is planning to offer it as an option. Does it run? 0-60 in 4.2 seconds, 1/4 mile in 12.4 seconds and tops out at 132mph. Definitely not your average Smart! Peter says running up to the traffic lights at 13,500rpm is always amusing since other drivers move over when they hear what sounds like a bike coming up fast. Autosport Magazine tested it against a Mistubishi Evo FQ-330. It didn’t win but fared better than the Subaru that tried a week earlier."

That's almost as cool as the old school mini with the Hayabusa engine in it.

if you get hit by an 18-wheeler the odds are, no matter what you're driving, you're dead.

I don't imagine a lot of people will be driving Smart cars on the interstates where semis tend to reside.
