I 'clicked' on the engineer's message and you get a few pictures and some short discription of the car in Japanese blah blah.....I think this car will be a limited run and the only turbo charged car from Mitsu that comes with a 5speed close ratio gearbox other than the EVO.

Its supposedly fully done up......as in chassis, engine, suspension system......

The standard colt turbo engine specs is.....

BHP= 147 @ 6000rpm (so since its a Version R it should be higher)

Torque = 180Nm @ 2500rpm (This is for an auto version so should be higher)

Weight = 1030kg (standard Colt weight)

I would totally drive that. I bet it's a lot more fun and practical than the pig Eclipse. Any hope that Mitsubishi would bring it Stateside?

I'm sure we won't be getting it. Which is too bad because every review I've seen on the Colt from europe they like it and it would be a good match against the fit and Yaris.

I would get it if it has an AWD platform. I had a 89 Colt GT 1.6 Turbo and it was a blast to drive. When I modded that little 1.6 DOHC engine, I showed my tail lights to alot of cars. Only down side it was front wheel drive and I could never hook up from a standing start and from a roll in 1st and 2nd gear. That's why I traded it in for a Talon Tsi AWD and my traction issues were solved.

Don't be so sure..... I had actually heard that we are probably going to get the Colt here soon, but I don't know about that tuned version. Looks pretty cool though.

Doesn't look that bad, but they should have gone with a body style similar to the new VW GTI. I still like the idea of this Mitsu Colt though, especially if they offer the Ralliart turbo version.

That looks too much like a Honda Civic.

Now the car I loved was my brothers 1984 Dodge Colt Turbo. It was brand new, I can still smell that new car smell of it.

For some reason I just loved that car. But I cant find anything out about it now. Not even a picture. I did get to see a 3/4 hot of one before it stopped loading.

If anyone could pooint me in a direction/ forum for these cars that would be great. I have heard they do the 4g63 swaps into them.

His car was Tan with the chrome lipped stock wheels,, very sweet.
I remeber that it also had 2 sticks. One of them was for power... shorter gearing if I remeber right. And it came from the dealer with a sticker on the back window that read,,,,,,,,,,"Dont step on the gas,,, unless you really mean it" lololol funny

I would love to see a picture of this car again. Just a simple 2 door hatch back,,, with a turbo. Think of all the fun you could do to that car!!!!!!!

Thanks and I will look back here to see if anyone can digg up some pictures,,, ( Tan, with a black stripe down the side ) or links to forums.

I think it was from 1983-1985 that they had that body style.

Latter
and thanks!
