it very hard to compare the two cars. i like driving the porsche because it just does everything better and smoother. i guess you expect that from a 130K car. Evo's are definitely one of the best cars for the money but it doesn't feel as refined as the porsche.

 

hmmm...80% all new body panels my ***! lol Jeremy Clarkson was right, it looks the same as 996! but seriously though, i can see the subtle differences, i'm guessing they just wanna stick to the tried and true timeless design. although some ppl hate porsche's looks, i think it's beautiful. congrats! my fav chassis is still 993 though

at first glance, it does look very much like the 996. but if you actually take the time to walk around the car, it looks substantially better than the 996. i think porsche hit a home run with this one!

i am the BIG 3 ETR. i hunt down vipers, vettes, and cobras and other forms of american muscle. your are correct, the IX is definitely my favorite ride. i keep her polished in my garage for weekend drives only. in fact, i don't even think i drive her on the weekends anymore. i think i will keep her as a collectible. As far as comparison review, the 997 Turbo is by far the baddest ride on the planet - second only to the IX. the car is so refined that it makes driving the car to its limits very easy with some experience. I think i will get a bumper sticker that says "My other car is a IX"
