People not paying attention freaking **** me off, I've been rear ended twice in my sportback, and nearly hit dozens of other times, where I had to take evasive actions. People don't think about what they're doing, driving more than a ton of mass at 50 miles an hour. Well, now time to go for a nice relaxing drive.

I like how the people just kept driving by, even after watching a car hit a van with enough force to knock it into the middle of the road. I'm sure there's a lesson to be learned from this, but I can't think of one without sounding like a pretentious asshat.

Edited so I don't start another flame war .

The van broke down in the carpool lane on the 405 in L.A. It had its emergency lights on but the driver of the mustang didn't have enough time to stop.

Always a good rule of thumb. If your car is having trouble, do everything you possible can to get the car over to the right shoulder. Never stop near the median divider (far left lane). Not only is it extremely dangerous, but you are stuck in the medium of the Freeway with little chance of getting across safely. Drivers are not expecting anyone to cross the Freeway, and are more then likely to hit you then stop for you.
