My superbike powered geo metro.....

Hey guys, I used to drive an 03' evo but have since sold it.
Here's my new project.

That is AWESOME!!! Dumb question, but how difficult is this project? Along the lines of "get a metro, get a GSXR-1000 and you're set" or "going to the moon warmed me up for this"?

I'd say if you have decent fabricating/welding skills you should be ok.
Here are some high res pictures so you can see how the drivetrain was set up.

I was watching this, and my sister didn't understand why I was so intrigued. She said "so, why?" and I said:

"because no one's done it before, and because he can"

Props on the diff setup...you should hook up a manually operated WD-40 sprayer that'll hit the diff with a little love whenever the sequential shifter is yanked

Hey Shrike, you are correct. That is one of the main reasons I did it because no one has. And about keeping the center diff lubricated, I use the same spray on lube as the chain. It's real sticky and wont fly off with the high centrifical forces.
It was so funny when I posted the streetfire link on one of the local mustang forums. They all thought it was stupid and said I should have put a 302 in it. Yeah that's thinking outside the box. Most of the engines in those cars can't rev half as high as I am. Oh well, can't win them all.

What do you think it would do in the quarter mile? How much do you think it weighs total? Nice project...

Not real sure yet what it can do in the quarter mile. The car weighs just a hair over a thousand pounds dry.
