See when i buy vehicle i'll make sure it will serve its purpose which are
Performance , functionality and the least looks...
Just bec its old and collectible does not mean its suffice my criteria..

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
A 427 Cobra is one of the fastest production cars ever made, and its almost 40 years old and still is fast even by todays standards.
Why do you think its the most replicated car produced. Heck, even Shelby got back into the game since everyone was making them.
Stats (street version)
Weight: 2300 lbs
HP: 320 (way underrated)
TQ: 420 (way underrated 450+)
1/4: 12.5 (from 1967, with todays tires Id bet mid-high 11s)
Race version was just sick. Lighter, more power, and a hand full to drive. Carrol Shelby made the coupe version because at the top of 5th gear the car wanted to take off and was scary even to him.
Now if I could find that quarter mil. I had just lying around....

It might clean my 1/4 mile but can it clean evo for autocross and time attack?

Personally i would have 100x the respect for someone driving that, than i would an evo.
Don't get me wrong, evo is a SWEET car. but that......well its on a totally different level.

If it is a true shelby...it is worth 30 times what an evo is worth, let alone 3. I would trade the evo in a heartbeat. Actually I will go buy him/her a brand new EVO if they are dumb enough to trade it.
Trade the EVO, first born child and every spare organ!!!!!! That car kick A$$. Hell I would trade my EVO in a second for a Superformance 427. The Cobra is in a completely different class.
How interesting to read the various opinions. The cognoscenti would jump on that Cobra at almost any price.. Yes, it was a genuine 427 AC Cobra. A truly phenomenal car. I don't doubt that in the right hands with modern rubber and some suspension tweaking it would pretty much destroy EVOs in almost all categories of competition... OTOH, the others see no value whatever in that car.. Funny, they'd **** on a true classic, very rare high performance car because they are fan bois... What a pity, maybe someday they'll own another car and the the EVO will be the one they **** on
i would trade my evo in for that without giving it a second thought.
for those who wouldnt do it are absolutely insane or just do not know much about cars because that car is a huge piece of racing history and i would put money on it raping an evo around a track or dodging cones at an autox.
