How much power do you think your putting down? Have you taken to the track yet? I just ran a black STR4 this morning.........they are fast but when I test drove one and had it for two days ( dealer let me keep the car the whole weekend) I totally didn't like the tranny and how it shifted and kept popping out of gear. My friend has a black one with red stripes and my other buddie has a all red one too.......

Honestly, though, for the money you have to spend to make decent power I think the SRT4 is the way to go, especially if you are a 1/4 mile person. GReat job....car look clean and serious.

bro I put down 289 with 334 with the same mods but I was running less boost I was running spiking 18 holding 12 because I didnt have the fuel return, so now I am running 23 spike holding 15-16 to redline, and next time I dyno I will be tuned with an afc so I should be 300 for sure. Im pig rich my wideband reads under 11 all the way to redline. Let me tell you there tranny isnt all tha great, but hey you put a set of shifter bushings, and short throw shifter like I did, and it feels great man, but if it popped out of gear its defective, mine has never done that, now I have heard of cases like that before, but still it shouldn't do it unless something is bad.

no offense...but your making less power than that. unless you missed somthing on your mod list. there is no way that your running 23psi with the factory turbo and holdign that power. you are overboosting and the car is pulling timing, plus your turbo is moving so much hot air that your IAT's are WAY BEYOND what they need to be. drop the boost down, or your going to melt somthing

dude I dont hold 23 pounds, it drops to 15 at redline, the peak power I made was 289 but I didnt hold that to redline. No i did not miss anything, the only thing I missed was a map clamp which sorted out my air fuel ratio, but my timing sucked because of it, remember the clamp is just a set voltage on your map sensor, nothing like a piggy back, soon I will dyno with the afc and the boost how I have it, and we will see, and Ive never heard of anybody mess up there turbo running 23 lbs spike. Its never happened around here I know people with 80K on theirs making 300+ on stock turbo and still going wiht no problems. Plus I dont use any of my vacuum lines, so my ECU doesnt read boost, with the map clamp on the timing sucks, but with it off it is ok. I have hooked up a data logger to my car before, im not making this up.

im stage 0 Im not a fan of staged upgrades, I like the stock PCM better. It responds better to mods. IMO.
