Saw an Enzo Ferrari today
So I work down the road about a mile from a Ferrari and Maserati dealership in a fairly affluent town. Back about a year ago they had a red Enzo on display for a few weeks (maybe more, but I don't drive home that way often). Now today I'm coming home from work and I get a long red light at the intersection of Sylvan Ave. (9W) and Palisades Ave. in Englewood Cliffs, NJ (for anyone from the area) and I look at the idiots blocking the intersection while trying to make a left. As my eyes follow from the front idiot in the Grey Passat back I notice a weird white car with yellow side mirrors. I'm sure you all know what the Enzo looks like. It's not the kind of car you mistake for anything else.
Seeing an Enzo on the road was shock number one. Shock number two was that it wasn't bright red.
At this point the light in his direction turned red and the left only light was green my way...that gave me about 10 seconds to soak in all I could. The body of the car was flat white, the mirrors were a light golden yellow, almost like the Lightning Yellow on OZ Lancers. The left signal goes from green to yellow and dims out. Green light for me so I move forward slowly (being the first person at the light) and keep shooting glances to my left to catch a parting glimpse of the beast. At this point I notice that the body panels above the rear wheels are also this bright yellow color.
I don't know why, but it seems to me there's something wrong with that picture. I don't know if this was a test car of some sort or a dealership car that was still unpainted, but I have to say it was one of the strangest things I've ever seen on the road. Recently I've been seeing a lot of strange cars from (presumably) that dealership though. I've seen about 6 Maseratis (4 spyders, 2 hardtops) in the past 3 weeks and a yellow 360 Modena. The two tone Enzo takes the cake though. Just thought I'd share my weird little story for whatever it's worth. Let the speculation begin.

Yeah
it was probably just the protective covering that all new cars come with
Usually only part of the car is covered like the windshield doors and hood.
But since it was an enzo, the whole car was probably covered
Could you imagine your 650, 000 dollar car being delivered scratched?!!!!
hmmm what the hell is that?
Ahhhh!!!!

In that town I'd be arrested on the spot.
If I remember I'll go home that way Wednesday. Can't do it tomorrow cuz I have to leave work early just to make it to class only slightly late.

I'd say the car cover thing is possible, but it seemed (from about 50-60' away to be VERY well covered if it was that plastic stuff. Believe me, I appreciate seeing the exotics when I do get to see them.

There is a Ferrari Dealer in Ohio ( i dont know why) in columbus that is getting an Enzo this summer.
We are friends with the dealer and the guy paid 680g's on the spot.
The seats are custom made for you!

Yellow is very rare
Not to mention the car is extremely rare
Consider yourself lucky to see it on the street

but i always thought the Enzo is like the F40 or F50...only comes in red from factory...the yellow or other ones are all painted afterwards

I may be able to post a photo or two soon...as soon as I can locate that dang memory stick reader....I know I have it somewhere around here...
Hey Hobie,
I'm work for BMW in NYC and I have friends at the Englewood Cliffs Ferrari location. Just so you know, it's not a dealer. That is the North American Headquarters for the Ferrari/Maserati Gruppe.
They do have strange one-offs come through there every so often. Maybe I sould call and see what the deal is with that Enzo?
