Eh, not a matter of finding the "ultimate tuner," but just trying to find a tuner that makes a quality product at reasonable prices....
i agree with you sinister.....but i think people on both sides (evo and sti) owners need to look at the bigger pic. think about it. how many times do you read a post about someone going out looking at cars and what are usually the 2 cars on the list. the evo and sti everytime. people need to realize that these cars although different are very similar in their own rights. hell when i was looking at buying a new car i looked at the evo 1st but the dealership wanted 38k starting for a MR. i wanted the 6 speed and bilstien shocks etc....but they would not budge. i then went to the suby dealership and found the sti and got a decent price and got all the extras i wanted. i can honestly say if the mitsu dealer was willing to work i would 75% surely be driving an evo. the suby dealer wanted to sale me a car not rape me. so again 2 diff cars that are alike in many ways should pull together instead of working against each other.
guess im done rambling on. just thought id share my thoughts. and bushar id def like to see you reinvigorate the suby department of your business lol.

A day doesn't pass where I don't encounter some moron on either forum, be it this one or a different one about how this car sucks, or that car sucks, or some super-uneducated remark about how STis don't handle for sh*t, or they have flimsy rear spoilers, or whatever. The funniest part about it is that 9 out of the 10 doing it have never even driven an STi. It's the same with the Evo on the Subaru forums. It's always the idiots that have never driven them that are making negative comments about them.
thats usually why most of the time i hang out on www.iwsti.com rather than nasioc. we still have a few guys here and there that do it on iwsti but the majority are great and understanding guys. all around love for pocket rockets like the evo and sti. hell thats why im on this board also. i may not post much but i still have a mutual respect and love for the evo. one day i will own both.

No offense to you, but I **** on www.iwsti.com. The majority of the people on that site are a bunch of 1-dimensional close-minded Subaru fanboys.
As for owning both, an Evo and an STi, I can't guarantee my next car will be either, really. I'm very interested in a new Camaro when they come out, but if they're going to be weighing 3800 lbs like I had read in a few articles, no thanks!
I find the STi and the Evo a bit harsh for daily drivers, but not extreme, but I already have two harsh riding vehicles- the Camaro and the STi. Sometimes it would just be nice to have something that wasn't such a mosh pit. Maybe the next time around the STI and the Evo will still keep the same level of performance but with a slightly softer-tuned suspension.

im curious to see how the evo X is. id like to see the next sti as well so i can decide on whether its even anything ill be looking at. i guess till the mean time ill be going with the kingpin gt30r upgrade kit. then i can actually find me a decent gas saver vehicle and keep the sti as a weekend only type car. i agree sometimes witht eh harsh ride. thats usually after ive eaten and i have to drive i feel that way lol. but for now i can at least drive the wifes tc when i want to.
