Question Will a 4G63 fit where a 4G61 was?

Hello All,

I want to put a 4G63 into a 1992 Eagle Summit or if you will Mirage/Colt. Will this bolt in or are major modifications necessary? The 1989-92 Summit had a 4G61 and I am thinking the block is different.

Thanks for the help

Marcus

Why do this? Why Not?

Thanks

only the mirage GT and colt GT had a 4g61t, and it is a easy swap. The others has a 1.5, 4g15. It is still possible to swap the 4g63 in but requires a bit more work.
