Porsche GT3

GT3 has always been Porsche's hardcore track-spec motorsports bred 911 variant. no turbo. no stability control. no comfort and luxury features of other 911. think of them as a 911 "type-R" if you will.
they are more about balance, handling and edge, than all-out thrust (that's for the 911 Turbo or GT2).
for the average driver, an evo would be as fast if not faster than a GT3 around low speed tracks. but if the driver knew what he/she was doing, then (stock-for-stock) the evo would simply not know which way the GT3 went on a racetrack.
case in point: nurburgring times for both cars: Evo IX (8 mins 11 secs). GT3 (7 mins 42 secs).
of course if it was a low grip surface, or in slippery conditions, the Evo would have a huge advantage. also for lower speed tracks with very tight turns ala WRC special stage.
have driven both cars on track extensively, and they're both brilliant. hard to choose which one ultimately, though in the end i'd take the GT3 every day.

I'd take a GT3 any day too if it were the same price as an Evo
