any dsm guys here??
i'm gonna be "inheriting" a 2g pretty soon and i wanted to see if there are any dsm guys to give me some opinions. its an rs so it has the 420a. should i build it up a little and enjoy what power i can pull from it, or sell the car and go for a gst/gsx??
anyone ever work on a 420a and have some input??

dsmtuners.com has a pretty good forum if u want to know more. From what I've read its ALOT more expensive to get the power from the 420A as it is from the 4G63 obviously. Then there's the hardcore turbo'd 420A guys that swear by it. Then in there somewhere are about 40+ threads dedicated to the CW that plagued the 2G's.
I got a GS for the price of the car ($6,000 over 2 years ago with NO credit) and insurance reasons (paying 187/month at 26 years old on a GS, GS-T/X would be more). In. . . . .hell next month now, my Wreckless comes off my record and then I wont be too worried about insurance when I get my EVO-X. But if cash wasn't a problem and I could've afforded the maintnance and mods (going to need LOTS of both) I would have gone with the GS-X.
You can actually find a few stock ones laying around. I personally am not happy with the performance of MY 2G GS, but it was cheap, and I still think (again MY opinion) that the 2G's are some of the sexiest cars on the road.

also on a side note in case u didnt know, an engine swap (yay I got the RS/GS for hella cheap and can just swap in a 4G36) is really hard, from what Ive read and requires alot of work because (correct me if Im wrong) the 420A is mounted "mirrored" to the 4G36. It's not like alot of Honda "drop-it in and go" swaps.
Still cheaper to buy the GS-T/X than swap.
