How does the 04 Z06 compare to the c6(regular) corvette? I know their power #s are close, but.............?

 

They're probably similar in a straighline, but the Z06 should be faster around a track, by a good margin

 

 

my friend has a z06 and his brother has a c6.... the z06 is quicker...not by much, but it is... from an 80 roll they were even...that was stock... now they both have exhaust, intake and cams and the z06 pulls a little more... theyre both not the best drivers, not bad by any means.....but theyre equal.. so id say the z06 has a slight advantage

there are videos on the web of the 2 cars doing highway pulls. Its pretty even at first but the z pulls lil by lil as speeds increase.

 

If you pay equal $$ for both...I would go c6..its more compact (outside) and looks better...and if the performance is a little less...make it up by modding...thats what (I) would do

 

I'd say C6. The Z06 might be slightly faster, but the C6 looks better and has a better interior.

i recall a magazine which claimed the c5z06 to trap like 117....then the highest stock trap for c6 i've read is 115 with a slip for evidence...somethin doesn't add up here, unless that mag was full of crap or my memory is owning me.

 

looks are opinions. I personally like the c5s better, the new ones look like wannabe ferraris. The c6 z06 is super bad *** tho. I still would take a c5-z06 over a c6 but wondering what the performance difference is. Seems like theyre pretty dead-even

 

c6 zo6 for sure.. my friends dad sold his c6 to to get a z06 c6 just beucase of the difference in power

 

ur missing the point. its a c5-z06 VS a C6 regular corvette. NO C6 Z06 involved

 

All depends on what you want. Stock for stock the 05Z will pull just a little on the C6.

Want to mod: Tons of parts and performance upgrades for the 05Z plus you can pick up an C5Z used and throw some FI and some supporting mods for example in and be around what a stock C6 would cost and have a 10 sec. car

On the C6 the hot set up right now seems to be TT from APS and there is a couple of other companys out there doing the same. That set up will also produce 10's.

I like the looks of both but given the choice I'd go with the C6 seems more compact.

I would take the c6 any day over the c5zo6...

 

Considering price, the C5 Z06 is a good choice. I've seen them about $25k with pretty low miles. Add heads/cam and that is a beastly street/track car.

 

theres 5 hp difference between the zo6 (04) and the base c6. 405 for the Z and 400 for the base C6.
