I like the car, although I would lose the wing. If it has around 250hp, it should be a fun ride.

$30k isn't that bad these days, since car prices have been steadily rising. However, if the car does hit the US markets, I doubt we'll be able to buy it for sticker since all the dealers will jack up the prices.

The car would be way to expensive for the bang you get, you are paying for wheels, side skirts, badging and some extra little crap goodies. YAY $25,000+ for a ****en 190whp car.

The rule implies that if you are not making double what your car cost per year, you can't afford it. So your telling me it's ok to be making $60,000 per year to drive a CIVIC! When you could drive an EVO? or something ten times better than A CIVIC! The day I spend $30,000 on a FWD car is the day the ocean swallows Iraq. Now even if that was acceptable. a FWD supercharged car for $30,000... look at the other options like it:

-Mazdaspeed3 puts down a healthy 250+whp with almost 300ft lbs of torque STOCK and 260-265whp with an intake and exhaust from Mazdaspeed. The cost of the car? $22-23,000 dollars

-Cobalt SS, not one of my favorites but you put down an easy 230whp with the GM S2 Supercharger kit that costs $750 bucks

-Caliber SRT-4... 300bhp turbo 2.4L and if it responds to mods like my SRT-4 did, your talking another monster. $22,000 ish.

With that being said, HOW IN THE HELL IS IT ACCEPTABLE TO SPEND $30K ON A CAR LIKE THE MUGEN CIVIC SI. WAHOO SUPERCHARGED 295BHP! FOR $30,000 BUCKS!

I don't wanna hear "oh it's a cobalt, or oh its a mazda3 or Oh its a caliber or neon" you look like ten times the bigger idiot for having spent $30+k on a CIVIC than $22k ish on a car that performs just as well if not better!

the mugen Si also has a solid suspension setup that i'm sure would outperform the other platforms you stated. and you know as well as me that honda's fit and finish is leaps and bounds ahead of those other cars. and i drive a car that costs as much as i make in a year, is that bad?

I've never heard of that rule. So if I have roughly $90k in vehicles, I need to be clocking $180k a year to afford them? **** … according to the rule, I need to get rid of some stuff.

That is todays society rule of thumb, look it up. The allocated amount for transportation you can "afford". And I am sorry but if you think that Honda's fit and finish is that great, you can listen to the doors tin rattle when you close it. I have a Honda. And I'm sorry but that mugen suspension set up I'm sure is not much better than say the Mazdaspeed3, in case you didn't notice Mazda is one of the top dogs when it comes to cars that handle well. The RX-8, the Mazdaspeed Protege? Ever heard of them. You take one of the best handling front wheel drive cars ever built (the integra type R) and there the Mazdaspeed Protege is right next to it. Also, if you want "fit and finish" buy an Audi, or a BMW not a Honda. I sure as hell hope that you can justify front wheel drive car for the same price as say one of the cheap supercars of the world? *cough* EVO/STi? Now TRY AND TELL ME YOU WOULD LOOK SMART buying that Mugen Si... with performance in mind considering the other options, sorry but I will run a poll on the Mazdaspeed3 interior vs. that of a Mugen SI and I believe you will get blown away. I think you have too little time in these cars to even compare, but besides the Mugen SI I have driven all, and I owned an SRT-4. Neon or not I'd rather be hitting low 13's in an evil sounding torque monster for $20,000 bucks than to spend $30,000 on essentially a car you could make out of a Type S, boosted with coilovers. Sorry

Assuming you further live by societal rule and you spend 5% on entertainment, I suppose this would fund your traveling expense to test-drive the current iteration of the Integra Type-R? You said you have driven all to compare it to the new Mazdaspeed 3. I'd like to hear your review of the new ITR, or maybe you spent "too little time" behind the wheel of one to provide a synopsis? BTW, I'm not much of a fan of the creaky hard-plastic center console and door panels of the RX-8. Fit and finish, right? Sorry.

yeah, stock they're like a 1/2 second faster than a Si in the quarter! and rotaries are proven to be ultra-reliable just like honda's! i'd take a mugen Si over an RX-8 any day of the week.
