how reliable are the 5.7L V8 GTOs?

 

It's an Ls1 or LS2, and pretty well. It's not your typical GM car by any means. Quality interior, great highway cruiser, comfortable with lots of power.... for the money you can't get a better GT car. It's leagues above the Mustang GT.

that would be ls1 ur talking about. they're pretty reliable, AKA one of the best engines for the past 12 years... ! not bad, also lots of aftermarket parts for it, lots of potential.
but why not get the ls2? the 6litre one.? 400hp/tq!

 

My buddy has one and it's fun? Gotta love the V-8 power! I still love my EVO more. He has had no problems execpt for the week automatic tranny!

 

I did not know about the reliability of the "goat". Of course there are message boards I go to that are biased against "x" car. I made the move to sign on to different message boards and learn more about the different "animals" out there instead of saying "X" FTW. Even though I drive a Honda, I like what you guys do with the EVO's. And here I am learning about other car makes.
