e36 3 series ... not an M3 but a 325 coupe 5spd 92-99 all the same really whichever one i can get for cheap enough (5gs or less) ... i want to tear everything out ... put in 2 sparcos , roll cage, new steering wheel, do up the suspension , new brakes, and then we move to the engine / tranny ... do i HAVE to put in a BMW engine and tranny in the car or can i somehow put in a japanese engine and tranny into the 3 series without too much trouble ? i really want to make a pretty quick car that handles like crazy and i figured the 3 series does pretty good . what do yall think ??

BM featured an e36 with a Honda s2000 swap. It was pretty sweet. And there's a place in the US that was swapping an LS1 into an e36.
