Legacy Exhaust Mod
Legacy Exhaust Mod
Check out what the Subaru Legacy guys are doing to get a "cool" exhaust sound. What do you guys think? They seem pretty fanatic about it!

I dont know, maybe its just me but I think that noise would get real old real quick, it seems pretty loud in-car and I remember from my friends exhaust on his truck that was loud, it was cool for about 2 days and then it was an annoyance and a headache everywhere you went. Are there any advantages to doing this?

They are doing it... I have a buddy with a Legacy and he is probably going to do this also. I'm obviously trying to talk him out of it. The more posts on this thread that discourage the idea, the closer I will be to talking him out of it
That is indeed one of the worst ideas/mods I ever seen in many years. Definately the owner of that car has zero knowledge on cars or he does not know that he is playing with fire.
Shooting hot gases right bellow the gas tank is not bright, when driven the car hard you might even put flames. There are many other ways to get a better sound in a much safer way.
I am not sure if the guy is looking for sound or he he is trying to get his car in flames but in boths ways the car sounds like crap and I hope he burn the car so that he learns the right way.
By the way, I like those massive solid rear steel control arms, i bet they are very light
