It's just too bad that it's fwd...beyond that, what a stellar car. 11.7:1 compression? that's nearing sportbike ratio. Though I suppose US gasoline couldn't satisfy that compression.

2800 lbs? That's amazing for a new car, if you think about it. Every year cars get heavier...hell, even the new miata is almost 2500 lbs.

As far as styling vs. the Evo X? I just don't see it. It has four doors and somewhat swoopy headlights...?

How about they trade two of those doors for a driveshaft and move the LSD to the back?

mugen's had that wing for awhile, i think someone even put it on their evo because its like a mini-evo wing.

ok so it sounds cool, but why are civics Hp #'s so high but the torque is so low
Civic Si 197HP 139lbs-ft
Type R 222hp 159lbs-ft
big difference no?

There's only so much you can do with a naturally aspirated motor to improve peak torque numbers. Higher compression or more displacement. Aside from that you can only improve efficiency. And I'm sure you realize that the "high" peak horsepower numbers are simply torque at high rpm...right?

If your numbers are right I *am* impressed by the improvement from the Si to the Type R in peak torque.
