hella fun yes but is it capable in the average joe's hands to run say a 2:00 or 2:02 lap around thunder with basic suspension and some sticky tires? I have a hard time believing it would be, but maybe Im not giving it enough credit... I looked into them and suprisingly enough they are rather cheap. im not sure if thats really a good thing considering how poor the resale is but performance per dollar is good.
Maybe a 90's Nsx then. An s2000 would be your best bet tho 50/50 weight distribution Front engine rear wheel drive, and if you convert it to hardtop it will be even more nimble. Altho I hear you have to be a good driver for that car.
c5 z06 hands down if you want a car that does everything very well.
straightline only the vette is hard to beat as well, they're slippery as hell on the freeway and the ls6 is pretty mean even with bolt-on's in n/a form. don't forget about spray either.
what i don't understand is why didn't you get some suspension mods on the Evo before you got rid of it? a rear sway bar alone changes the stock understeering tendencies significantly...

used z06... I previously posted a 550whp z06 with under 15K miles for 32K lol Just wait for a sweet deal like that and kiss everyone else good bye. The best new car you could buy is the evo of course. There is always a TT supra however the styling is a bit outdated.
If you're looking for something easy to drive at the limit I would say the z06 is a bad choice. While it does handle very well, it doesn't communicate well to the driver at all. I love those cars, but every vette I've ever driven just feels big.
The easiest car to go fast in I've experienced is a Porsche Cayman S with the Evo being a close second. If I was going to limit my choices to the cars you listed, it would be the S2k hands down.
