yo the civic si suck's *** it shy 65 lbs from the 3000lbs mark and it 132lbs of toruqe @5000Rpm it has 124.3 whp. 8 whp more from my lancer oz 117.1 whp.it just suck they just screw up the civic si what a waste such a nice car gone too hell .but cant wait to see one when my cousin gets it and is on the street so i can kill it.i wish the type r would come out here 200hp si really nice.

 

Plus I honestly think the redesign on the SI is horrible!!!
Anyway read the article where the compared A Spec V, GTI, and a SI The SI came in last in all categories, so I don't think anyone really likes it right now

Well since the US is getting the Detuned version I see no reason too. The true Civic Type R comes with the RSX engine and trans. Besides that I don't like new civics. The 95 hatch was the best they ever made on the US as far as I'm concerned after that they've all been bad.

 

My friend has a 2000 civic SI and I have to say its a great car, I just think the redesigned one is not tuner friendly and is just not a very good performance car...... But if you want one, its your money

 

Is this post really necessary? Although this car doesn't please me I don't think it's cool to put it down unless you've fully tested one out.

The new SI is a great DRIVERS car. May not be straight line fast but it handles like a kart does. I like how it looks too.

I'm just saying that there are better cars out there for the money but people are gonna just buy it cause it says \-/ on the damn hood..... Ford Focus SVT, Sentra SeR, VW Golf GTI are all better cars in all areas: handling, acceleration, comfort and they all cost just about the same amount but so many people are gonna buy the SI and its just annoying, then they will put their big "TYPE R" in the front window thinking they are cool.... Its just very annoying, I am not anti Honda, I am just anti-civic

 

But when you start throwing money at those cars the SI and GTI are the only ones with potential. The se-r is a joke and the focus will fall apart before you drive it home.

 

the se-r i think is the best one out of those four and ford just well it's a ford you know what i mean.i have a old sentra and there great cars that was my frist car a b12 1989 with a se-r1991 engine.and it kicks *** .the spec-v engine is a great thing i love if a had the money i would get one.

 

The SI is not really modable BTapper it has been getting a lot of bad press for that reason cause people that buy them like to mod them, and with this one you can't and the SeR and SVT with both be modable too
