Honestly the IS350, 335i, G35 Sedan, SRT-8, are some nice vehicles, but if you could just hold out a little longer there are some great vehicles in very near future. For instance the EVO X, still a lot we don't know about it, but we all pretty much agree performance wise it should be awesome and possibly a lot more civil than the EVO VIII and IX. Also why get a 335i when a 135i might be just around the corner, I'm not gonna bash the 335i, but I don't think it is god's gift to the earth like some of these sell outs who believe what ever they are told. If rumors are true the 135i will be lighter, just as powerful, perhaps just as nice, and cost less. Not sure though if the 135i will be only a coupe, or also a sedan. My point though is give at least till the end of this year or early next year to see what automobile world has to offer

If you like awd, check out the new VW Passat R36 when it comes out. The R32 Golf has a better ride and interior than the EVO and is still sporty. The R36s should be even better.

A little longer? Youll be lucky to see an Evo X roaming the streets come this time 2008, and even if dealerships have them the mark up is going to be stupid for the first few months. The same with the 135i. No one knows when its even going to get here, let alone if its a for sure thing its going to be available with the 3.0tt, and even if it is an available model with that motor in it, it most likely wont be released until a year after the lesser performance models are out.

Actually BMW issued a press release today stating it will be available with the 335s twin turbo. However, it is only @300lbs lighter than a 335 and in my opinion looks very mis proportioned from more than one angle. I also read it is going to start at 35K. So, by the time you add the packages you'll want you are most likely back in 335 price territory.

You can wait forever there is always something new and exciting just around the corner or can buy what's out and enjoy it now.

Well it seems, and I may be wrong, but it just seems to me that the author of this thread doesn't seem like he is in some big rush to buy another vehicle like this second. It also seems like he enjoys the performance and potential of his EVO, but just thinks it is to raw for his tastes. So my question is, why are you guys in such a big hurry to get him out his current car into other cars that I am sorry to say are lesser in performance than the car he currently has. Perhaps he is willing to wait for atleast for more info on the EVO X or 135i. I have a feeling that EVO X is going to be something really special.

I won't be thanking you. It's not like this will be the last car he ever buys. As I said before there is always something new and better just over the horizon. Once the X comes out maybe he should wait for XI or maybe the one after that.

I guess I should have not bought a plain old VIII and waited for the MR but, then I shouldn't have bought the MR and I should wait for the IX but, then I could wait for the X and it goes on and on.....

You'll only regret a buying a car you don't like.

Your right it is not like it is the last car he will buy because we all just have money to throw away Your anology at the end is just way off, the author of the thread is interested in the EVO X, and all I am saying is if interested then why not wait at least till October when the full specs come out before making some kind of decision. Seriously what is with you 335i owners, get over yourselves, gosh you guys act like your car is some kind of God's gift to automotive world. "Well 3000ways we make 100whp over stock with a tune!" oh wow, and then for some reason you guys have a hell of a time hitting 12s and trapping over 110mph . Anyhow that is off topic, On topic- I still believe he should wait.

BMW 335I sedan. Perhaps the best compromise of performance/price/fuel economy/equipment with the plus of 4 years of free maintenance

First off, I was an Evo owner before the 335 and there seem to be just as many if not more people who feel the Evo is god's gift to the motoring public as there are 335 owners. I haven't been running off at the mouth about how great the 335 is, or what it can do with a tune, run at the track or, any of that sh*t. So, please leave me out of your generalization. OK. I'll tell you right now the Evo is the better track car but, the 335 is much more civil while still being pretty sporty and more what I wanted at this point in life.

I drove the 335 and knew that's what I wanted. I knew the X, Is-F, G37 and M3 were all coming within the next year, it didn't matter to me. I drove the car and it was what I wanted so, I got it. In another 3-4 years I'll see what's out then and do the same thing.

You've got your opinion, I've got mine and neither of them matter to anyone but us. So, lets just drop it.
