What are your opinions on the Lexus IS300? I hear they can make some good power. I am curious because my cousin is interested in getting one.

 

Depending on the year, you're better off with another car. They are quite pricey but of course it's because it's a Lexus. What is he looking for? The IS is just a moderately quick car that has the convenience of 4 doors and a little more luxurious then a regular sedan.

For the money, I can think of better cars. And I'm not too familiar with them making huge amounts of power. I could be wrong though.

 

They are a good car. Pretty much a non-turboed Supra motor. You gotta love those inline 6's...plenty of torque. I knew a guy at the track that was boosting 9 lbs running low 13s. Good luck!

 

He likes the look of Luxury cars with good power. He has a 1998 E36 M3 4 door, and he loves it but is thinking of selling it. Now he wants to get a different type of car, that he can mod and make fast. He tells me that they make good power, and it's a Lexus.

 

you need $$$ to have it modded and it is not as fast. just keep the m3.

 

keep the M3, faster and will hold its value forever compared to the lex...for the price of a used IS you can get a great Evo as well and eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, even if it is boosted!!
