Carrera GT joins the family!
They are a bit of a handful out on the road, the clutch has about 1" of travel and takes a bit of getting used to, sweet *** car you got you go there. It town the car is not all that fun to drive, but it is a whole different story out on some open road. Did you stall it the first takeoff? Lots of guys were smoking clutches b/c they had trouble with the clutch and instant throttle response.
the car is designed so that you don't have to give it any gas when taking off. in fact, if you try to give it alittle gas, chances are you will probably stall it. it feels like the car will stall, but the ecu automatically compensates and the car takes off just fine. i don't know where you heard that its not fun to drive around town, but i would have to disagree with you on that. it's an absolute blast to drive around town as well as on the open roads. the carrera gt has to be one of the best production cars ever built in the world! nothing else i drove even comes close.

I would 100% agree with you, I just did not want to sound like a jackass for telling you how to drive it
It is weird just letting the clutch out and not touching the gas.As far as driving around town here in Michigan our roads are not so nice so getting by the potholes and major inclines is hard with the suspension and low clearance.
only difficulty is that the front lip only has about a 3" clearance so you definitely have to be careful not to drive on crappy roads. in fact, i've been told by other cgt owners that it will not clear a speed bump. i will take their word for it.

holy wow when are you taking me for a ride? :P
I love how I was looking at price differences of several hundred dollars when looking for my MR2, and you were looking at several TEN thousand dollars when u were looking for your Carrera GT
I want to do shopping like that someday...on cars, houses don't count.
oh btw, congratulations on your purchase!
