2000 for a damged 3000gt

ok one of my friend is trying to sell me his 3000gt which he bought 1 month ago....he got in to a accident and now want to sell me his car for 2000.....( he bought it for 9000)

Car;
1997 3000GT basic color white with 90000 miles

the parts need to be replaced:
front bumper
hood
driver's side headlight
windshield
2 front airbags....( i dont think they even sell them for 3000gt anymore)
might need a paint job

so my question is----is the car even worth selling or buying?
i was just looking for a car for my gf maybe this could be it?

Base models aren't worth ****. You'd probably put $3-4g into fixing it, and IMO you'd be lucky to break even on selling it.

If it's not a VR-4 I wouldn't even consider it. If you're looking for something fun for $5k or less I would buy a mid 90's miata, drop top, rear wheel drive, great parts availability, and good chassis.
