(Hopefully not a repost, last thread I searched/found was from January and only had concept exterior pics.)

Here are some clearer pics of the upcoming production Lexus LF-A supercar that will be shown for the first time at the next Tokyo autoshow (this October). It will supposedly have a V10 with at least 500hp.

The last gen of Japanese so called "supercars" were the Honda NSX, Nissan GT-R and arguably the Toyota Supra too among others. Will this Lexus LF-A be crowned the new king? It will definitely have to outperform the new Nissan GT-R to achieve that title.

That's an acceptable wannabe, imo.

I think that's looking darn good. I can see a throwback or two to the Supras.

don't know about the three tip exhaust or the wing that doesn't stretch the full length, but it looks pretty hot in general.

 

is it me or couldnt that look like a new gen of the 300zx? I think it looks good.

This is the second time I've seen it and the video. I like what I see so far.

Rumor has it at 100k + and 500hp V10.

 

I wonder how much it's going to weigh. To compare:


3439lbs - Audi R8

3069lbs - Porsche 997 GT3
3175lbs - Porsche 997 GT2
3494lbs - Porsche 997 Turbo

3196lbs - Ferrari F430
2976lbs - Ferrari F430 Scuderia


If this new Lexus is over 3500lbs it will be too heavy. At this point though, I would honestly pick any of the cars in the list above over the unproven LF-A.

 

From the way it looks, the wing can be collapse and be flush with the rear. Kinda like the Porsche Boxster unit. I like it, but it's gonna be at least six figure.
