for the same reason that the evo is an anti-porsche because comparing it to the carrera 4s which is $105,000 vs the evo which $37000 and posting the same numbers. okay lets get back to the z06 vs gt3

I like how Porsche can build a wee little flat six that is competitive with a gargantuan humongous 7 liter pushrod V8. I can understand Evo owners favoring the Porsche because both cars have smaller engines that can compete with much larger displacement.
I'm not up on this latest Magazine article but it seems every year when the new Vette comes out they say it's better than everything but at the end of the year when the pick the best handling car (all around) it comes in last (ok 9th) behind every Porsche and even being the Evo IX. I think it has more to do with advertising than accurate reviews and they are always going to talk up the new car to increase sales, but after the glamor wears off they go back to telling the truth.

I am sorry but I cannot buy it. Corvettes are NOT and NEVER will be in the same league as Porsche. I have been in multiple corvettes, granted not this new 08' but I have been in and driven a 996 Turbo X50 and GT2 and I find it insulting that they would even think of that statement in the privacy of their own minds.

i guess youve never been in a lingenfelter vette then..twin turbo LS7...yea thats a fast car! 0-60 in 1.9 seconds..yea thats faster then any porshe u throw at it..faster then a mclaren even faster then the bugatti veyron 0-60

You don't compare a stock car to a modified one. You do apples to apples comparisons. You're doing it wrong. Geez.

But is a Lingenfelter Corvette really "modified"? They come with a 3yr/36k mile warranty so as far as I'm concerned it's a stock "Lingenfelter Corvette" until someone modifies beyond Lingenfelter's specs.
