Saw the new vw r32...

Didn't even know these cars were out yet. It had the weirdly spaced exhaust in the back, the emblems and had the new vw golf styling. I wasn't expecting that but I also haven't seen much news on it either. Anyone drive it yet?

they say it is the fastest one to date b/c they added 10 hp to the old one through diff engine mapping i am guessing... the thing that vw forgot to mention is that the new r32 is way heavier than the old one

actually it's the fastest due to the DSG and its ability to outshift a human. Go drive one before you knock it, it's not an EVO just like the last gen R32 wasn't and it's definitely got its cons (as do our evo's). It's a pretty cool simple daily driver/weekend fun car with some class to it.

Will I buy one? No.
Is it fast? No. but it's quick... go ahead and race one 0-60 you'll be surprised how fast that tranny shifts and aside from a rediculous hard launch the r32 will be ahead thru about 50-60mph.. then of course you'll be hauling by in the EVO.

Yup, just came out. Went to check one out.. not bad, but for the price I'd rather just get a GTI and mod the heck out of it to be faster for cheaper!

its a low 14's car and very expensive to mod! already raced a audi tt with a 3.2 and dsg, all i can say is nice front end from my rear view mirror
