Well since it's finally ruining properly (aside from being a bit lean under boost and not being able to figure out why ) I decided I'd share some pictures.

Still needs to be cleaned up in a few places (obviously) But, I'm glad it's back on the road. I hope to get some decent times (low 14's/high 13's or 100mph traps) before I blow the stock motor/clutch. Hopefully it'll get some track time in a couple weeks before the season ends.

How's the 420 treating boost?

 

15k miles with 5-8psi on the stock bottom end and going strong (knock on wood)

Yeah it is. I had another but had to destroy it to make a boost leak tester since I couldn't find the right parts at HDR

 

The new 420a looks good. In the second picture, is that an older 2g? 97-99 body style looks to be.

 

How much whp?

 

Well it's not new, same old engine (actually new head) but I had the valve cover powdercoated, tried polishing up the compressor housing and intake manifold, new tial wastegate, timing cover gone and just in general shined up a few parts

The one in the back is a 2gb (97-99) gst, the one in the front (mine) is a 2ga with 2gb aftermarket headlights/front bumper

 

No clue. They tend to put down about 200 though with my mods
