For what it's worth, GT500 rules don't require any functional resemblance to the road car. The only required cosmetic similarity is in the green house, though most manufactures obviously want enough resemblance to help sales on Monday.

yep, cars in Super GT have very little resembling the street cars, much like DTM cars. Cars that probably most resemble actual street cars are the Speed World Challenge Touring Cars.

I bet they converted it to rear wheel drive and most of the original chassis is not even there anymore.
