Any Mazda Miata fans?

I'm planning on buying a cheap one around the 1992 model year for a fun project/free time/autocross car. Forced induction is planned.

Anyone else like them? Anyone owned one? Experiences?

I really like them. Everyone from my Wife to my Close Friends tell me I'm ghey for liking them but I want to build one one day. The sad thing is once that day comes I probably will be able to buy a Boxter instead. I say go for it and have fun!

I had a 92 red 1.6l Miata 3 years ago, I only had it for about 3 months. I almost put a td04 15c turbokit from Greddy but I decided not to because I then would have to put injectors, intercooler, etc.

Great cars but very slow out of the box(specially the 1.6l). I was contemplating getting the Flying miata kit as well but it was too much money for the results.

I have an 04 Mazdaspeed and a 97 that I sold last week. Until last week, I owned two red convertibles for about one year but then I realized... I need a car with a trunk, so I put the 97 up for sale. I owned the 97 for 8 years; I bought the car for Solo II autocross, expecting to keep it two years, tops. The car was a blast to drive, cheap & easy to modify... which is why I kept it for so long and eventually buying another one.

I have a set of Work VS-XX sitting in my living room that arrived last week. I'll put them on once winter is done.

Sweet car^^^.. I love the pics. Thta is the 1.8 l T25 powered right? They could make much more power if they were to put a 2.0 liter, bigger turbo and bigger intercooler. Thefront small intercooler enhances spool up but I think is too small.

Nice Mazdaspeed Miata. I have been looking hard for a used 92+ 1.8l. I'm considering selling my bike and make it into a good little roadster. I've always wanted a Miata since their first year.

A close friend of mine had a Mazdaspeed Miata and i loved it! It was straight piped with a FM hardpipe kit and intake, and a GFB BOV. The car was fun as hell and could maintain a nice drift despite the short wheel base. Not to mention it could grip amazingly with the right tires. Id love to have one as a project car like you mentioned, but i couldnt DD the car.

yeah, it's a 1.8L with an IHI RHF5 turbo, pretty small. It's limited to about 13-14 psi but the stock injectors are only good until 12 psi. For those looking to get more power out of the MSM, a piggyback or standalone ECU, bigger injectors, bigger IC and bigger turbo are needed.

All I have left to do on the car is a bigger FMIC but I'm in no rush since winter is coming. I would've gotten more car mods done this year but I spent it on camera gear instead lol

I had a 94 Miata R with RacingMazda T3/04E, built engine, 6 speed trans. Made 300 rwhp (93 octane, 20 psi) on a Mustang dyno. FUN car. No traction.
