well, if you consider 20% driveline loss, that just over 1500 hp to the wheels. if you browse around long enough, you'll see some videos of 1400-1500 whp dyno queen supras. its not really THAT new, but its still awesome.

oh, and it wouldn't make a difference if it was a stroker or anything. that just makes more power under the curve, and you wouldn't see much, if any, increase in peak power

Sadly, the amount of rubber they would have to get to fit in there to make full use of that power, would make the car unstreetable.

The steam is from the engine dynos retader. As for what car, its from Gasmotorsport.com.au They have a ProRwd. so far its gone 6.88@ 207 mph. that was with a lot less power than what they are making now.

They are going to try and see over 2000hp next month. As for the comments about it being done before could you please put up the links to the videos with a 3L doing that power with no nos.

Has anyone got pics of the 6 second 4g63 over there in the states?

cheers

What about the Ecotec making 1450hp with 2.16L and racing against blown V8s?

Better HP/L!!!!

Listen up race fans, Don Nase and his turbocharged ECOtec GM dragster went up to the I.H.R.A Torco Race Fuels Nitro Jam, which held its “President's Cup Nationals.” To say the least, Don went up there and represented what GM and the Sport Compact scene has evolved into.

First, let’s break down what Don went up against. The class he ran in is the Top Dragster class. Now this class is primarily dominated by old-school, big-block and small-block motors that are supercharged or spraying nitrous. Normally to qualify in this class with these big-displacement engines, you need something like a 7.10-second elapsed time.

Yeah … VERY FAST!

Now here comes Don's turbocharged ECOtec four cylinder. Not only did he raise some eyebrows, but he was definitely seen as a big underdog. By the way, this was the first turbocharged car to ever run in this class, let alone a turbocharged four cylinder! Qualifying took place Friday and Saturday and not only did Don come in and qualify, but he also did it with a 6.67-second run at 199 mph. This garnered him the number six spot out of 39 cars.
