Who told you 4000lbs?

The Camaro is using a shortened version of the zeta platform - 10 inches shorter than the 3995lb Pontiac G8. I'd estimate the curb weight to be around 3700lbs. That would be right in line with the G37 and only 100lbs heavier than a EVO X.

Considering the car will likely have a 400+hp LS3 engine, weight shouldn't be a problem.

this is a nice car. but a 98 RZ Supra from Japan is much nicer. Since Canada is gay about Evo 8 and 9's. That's my next car. Sorry Mitsubishi.

The new Camaro and new Challenger are really cool cars, and the production looks almost exactly like the concept version in both cars, which IMO is the way to go.

I just hope ( and there not high) that the interiors are better looking than the ones on the Challenger....my eyes hurt for days after i saw them....there horrid

Great looking cars?, yes....would i buy one?...hell no!

Looks nice. I can wait to see the finished product. I really liked the challenger, however, this thing looks...idk what to say...perhaps better and more aggressive.

Some cars look nothing like their concepts, while some look very similar.

Without spy shots, how can we know which is the case with this new Camaro?

It looks like a bunch of different GM junks haphazardly pieced together. I can see traces of a corvette, cadillac XLR, (cavalier?) but I don't see a camaro.

They can either hit a home run with this car or a 99 dribbler down 3rd base line.

The Camaro doesn't look too shabby but I'm waiting for the Challenger bust outta the seams.

if the maro actually makes it out. it'll have enuff hp offered in the couple different engine versions and it'll beat any x or ix stock ideally. even if it doesn't, there's so much potential in those engines to get it going with basic bolt ons.

and i wouldn't pair a stang with a maro. in any way, the stang is a POS so unless they actually plan to come out with the new style of s197, they're whole 250hp with the fat asses won't play for much.

im waiting for the new bird. if the maro makes as good of a reintroduction as they hope, the bird will be next and some of the concept pics aren't too bad lookin.

as far as the weight is concerned, 400+ HP makes a 3700lb car pretty quick. it's not a ricer, most domestics are heavy weight. the GTO is an exmple of 4400 lbs and 400 hp looking like a turtle, but my bird makes 350hp and its 3400 lb fat *** is quickier with baswic bolt ons than my stang and my evo.
